Education & Mentorship

Sustained mentorship, guidance and support for students

We support deserving students and young people through sustained mentorship, educational guidance, scholarships, career counselling and opportunities that encourage learning, confidence and personal growth.

Key initiatives

  • Mentorship & Scholarship Programme

    Continuous programme

NANF provides long-term mentorship and financial assistance to meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Support ordinarily begins in Class XI and continues, based on individual need and progress, until the completion of higher education.

The programme goes beyond financial assistance. Students receive guidance on academic choices, higher-education opportunities, career planning and personal development throughout their educational journey.

Three supported students have completed their education and are now employed in Public Sector Undertakings and government departments. Seven students are currently receiving ongoing mentorship and educational support.

  • Career Guidance through Padadhwani

Career-counselling sessions conducted as part of Padadhwani help students explore educational pathways, understand career opportunities and make more informed decisions about their future.

02

Youth Development

Platforms for knowledge, creativity and leadership

NANF creates platforms where students and young people can develop their knowledge, creativity, confidence and leadership through academic, cultural and participatory activities.

Key initiatives

  • Padadhwani

    Annual signature event

Padadhwani is NANF's annual youth festival, bringing together school and university students from across Assam through academic, cultural and sporting competitions.

The event includes quiz, debate, music, singing, dance, essay writing and basketball competitions, along with career counselling and a cultural night. • Blood Donation Programme

    Annual programme

NANF organises annual blood-donation activities with the participation of volunteers and eligible donors. These initiatives have been conducted in Jorhat, Tinsukia and Guwahati, helping connect voluntary community participation with the continuing need for safe blood.

The programme focuses on donor awareness, responsible mobilisation and voluntary participation in coordination with appropriate medical or blood-bank institutions.

Practical assistance for disaster-affected communities

NANF mobilises volunteers, donations and institutional support to provide practical assistance to communities affected by floods and other disasters.

Key initiatives

  • Flood and Disaster Relief

    Annual relief initiative

NANF undertakes annual flood and disaster-relief activities for affected communities. Depending on locally identified needs, support includes food items, essential commodities and other immediate relief materials.

Special attention is also given to affected students through the distribution of books, study materials and educational kits, helping them resume their studies after disruption.

Relief activities are supported through public donations and, where appropriate, collaboration with institutions and organisations that share the objective of assisting disaster-affected communities.

06

Environment

Volunteer-led environmental responsibility

NANF encourages environmental responsibility through community participation, awareness and practical volunteer-led action.

Key initiatives

  • World Environment Day Tree Plantation
