Who we are, how we work and who guides the Foundation

Nava Asom Nirman Foundation is a volunteer-led registered society established in 2016 in Digboi, Assam. We work with communities across education and mentorship, health and community care, disaster response and relief, sports, environmental action and youth development.

Our mission is to equip young people and local communities across Assam to lead practical, lasting change. Through education and mentorship, health and community care, disaster response and relief, sports, environmental action and youth development, we strengthen local capability and expand opportunity where it is needed most.

How We Work

Our programmes begin with needs identified by local volunteers and communities. We respond through direct volunteer action and, where additional expertise or resources are required, responsible collaboration with institutions, professionals and community organisations.

Governance & Legal Registrations

Legal identity & governance

Nava Asom Nirman Foundation is a registered nonprofit society established in 2016. It is governed by a Governing Body comprising mainly its founding members and is supported by volunteers who coordinate programmes across districts. The Foundation is committed to responsible administration, statutory compliance and honest reporting of its community work.

Statutory registrations

  • 12A Registration: Registration under the Income-tax Act for the Foundation's nonprofit operations.

  • 80G Approval: Eligible monetary donations may qualify for deduction under Section 80G, subject to applicable law and donor eligibility.

  • CSR-1 Registration: Registration enabling the Foundation to undertake eligible CSR activities, subject to applicable requirements and project arrangements.
